In this week's episode, Aaron and Kevin discuss the first Christian martyr Stephen. Stephen was a man who was described in Acts 6 as being full of the Holy Spirit and of faith and wisdom. As he was being persecuted for his bold proclamation of Jesus, he took that as an opportunity to bear witness to the Gospel of Jesus.
In this conversation Aaron and Kevin talk about what it means to "bear witness" and how often that won't be the most popular thing. It might not gain us notoriety. Instead, it may even cause people to walk away from us. Are we okay with that?
The guys discuss the importance of discipleship - that is, real, true, relational, long lasting walking together in the faith with other people as the thing that especially gives us strength and courage to continue bearing witness to Jesus even when that makes life difficult.
